Know the cost.
Plan your next step.

Separation brings enough uncertainty. In most cases, Magpie Family Law offers a fixed price for an agreed stage of work, so you can make decisions with a clearer picture of the cost.

Why we prefer fixed fees

Our fixed fees*

Australian dollars · Updated

All prices include GST where applicable, court fees and other outgoings for the work described.

* It is not possible to offer the fixed fee in every case. Your actual fees and the agreed scope of work will be as set out in our client agreement with you.

How the stages work

Each stage is priced separately. If your matter needs both pre-litigation stages, the listed fees for those two stages total $11,000. Litigation stage 1 is a separate $6,600 stage covering the work through the first court mention, rather than the whole court case.

Where a stage includes documenting a final agreement, that work is included in that stage’s price. The standalone consent orders or financial agreement fee is not an additional charge for the same included work.

Agree the scope before you begin

We will discuss your circumstances, which service or stage is appropriate, and whether a listed fixed fee is available. Your client agreement sets out the work and fees agreed with you. Any further stage or work outside that scope needs its own fee arrangement.

The consultation times in the table form part of those paid services. Our free initial one-hour Teams consultation remains available to discuss your situation and how we can help.
